How to download from UC Drive (UC网盘, drive.uc.cn) outside China in 2026
UC Drive (UC网盘 in Chinese) is the cloud drive built into Alibaba's UC Browser. Its share links look like https://drive.uc.cn/s/8b1c2d3e4f5a6?public=1 or https://fast.uc.cn/s/…, usually with a 4-character code (提取码) on the line below. You meet them in the same places as Quark links: game mods, textbook scans, course archives, firmware dumps, and anything shared from a Chinese phone.
If you are outside China, the link is normally a dead end. This post covers why, how UC Drive relates to Quark, and what your options are.
Why UC Drive links are so hard to open from abroad
You need a Chinese account before you see anything. Opening a share on drive.uc.cn sends you to a login wall first. Registering wants a mainland Chinese phone number or an existing Chinese app account; a foreign number does not get you in.
The web page pushes you into the app. Once logged in you can read the file list, but downloading is steered towards the UC app, which is Chinese-only and built for phones inside China.
Speed is a paid, in-app feature. A free UC account is throttled hard. Full speed is sold as a membership that only works inside the UC app, so browser tricks and "direct link" generators stay slow.
If the page shows 分享已失效, or says the share expired or was deleted, the uploader removed it or UC took it down. It is gone for everyone, including people in China. Ask the uploader for a new link.
UC Drive vs Quark: same company, separate services
Quark (pan.quark.cn) and UC Drive (drive.uc.cn) both belong to Alibaba and behave the same way: login wall, +86 registration, throttled free tier, speed sold through the app. But they are separate products with separate accounts and separate links. A file shared on Quark is not on UC Drive and vice versa, and one membership does not cover the other. Which one you get depends only on which app the uploader used.
One practical difference: Quark share pages show the file names and sizes before you log in, UC Drive shows nothing until you do. So with a UC link you cannot even tell whether the share is alive without an account.
What actually works
Get a Chinese account and use the app yourself. If you have a mainland phone number, a way to pay in yuan and patience with a Chinese-only interface, the UC app with a paid membership downloads at full speed. For most people outside China that is a lot of hoops for one file.
Ask the uploader to mirror it. Many UC uploads are also on Quark, Baidu Pan or 123pan, and some uploaders will re-share on request.
Use a fetch service. That is what BaiduFast does for UC Drive. Paste the drive.uc.cn link (with its code) on the home page and in a few seconds you see the real size, every file in the share and the exact price, before anything is downloaded. Pay once, and the files are fetched and placed on a fast CDN; you get a direct link on the same page, with folders as one ZIP. A few GB is usually ready in 10–30 minutes; large folders take a few hours, and the page shows live progress.
UC Drive costs more than our normal price list, the same table we use for Xunlei, because fetching from UC Drive is a special case and much harder than from Baidu, Quark or 123pan. The price is shown right after you paste the link, before you pay.
Links with a code
Keep the 4-character code (提取码, sometimes written code: or password:). UC does not put it in the URL, so paste it in the second box, or paste the whole share message and the code is picked out automatically. If you only need a few files out of a large share, message us and you pay only for those.
Where this leaves you
From outside China there is no free, fast route to a UC Drive file: the share needs a Chinese account, the web page needs the app, and speed is sold inside that app. Either you get a Chinese identity and run the app yourself, or you let a service that already has one do it. Details are on the UC Drive page.
Paste the link on the home page — you see the exact size first. Free under 150MB, no account, direct or Google Drive link.
